Up to £39,000 + Company Car or £4,877 Car Allowance + Mileage + Excellent Benefits

Are you a Registered Nurse looking to escape the pressures of ward-based nursing and build more meaningful relationships with your patients?

We're recruiting for a Community Nurse to join one of the UK's leading specialist healthcare providers, delivering high-quality treatments to patients in their own homes across York and the surrounding areas.

Offering a Monday-to-Friday schedule, genuine autonomy, and the opportunity to care for patients on a one-to-one basis, this role provides an outstanding work-life balance while allowing you to continue developing your clinical skills in a supportive environment.

The Role

As a Community Nurse, you'll manage your own caseload while delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care within the community.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering IV therapies, injections, and specialist treatments in patients' homes
• Managing a caseload of approximately 4–5 patients per day
• Providing education and ongoing support to patients and their families
• Working closely with NHS partners and multidisciplinary teams
• Monitoring patient progress and escalating concerns appropriately
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and high professional standards
• Working independently while benefiting from strong clinical support and leadership

What We're Looking For

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC PIN
• Full UK driving licence
• Post-registration experience within an acute hospital setting
• Experience with IV therapies, IV devices, and subcutaneous injections
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• The confidence to work autonomously and build rapport with patients in their homes

Community nursing experience is desirable but not essential, and full support will be provided for nurses moving from hospital environments.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary up to £39,000 per annum
• Company car and fuel card or £4,877 car allowance plus mileage reimbursement
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to buy additional leave
• NMC registration fees paid
• Private medical insurance following the qualifying period
• Life assurance at four times annual salary
• Contributory pension scheme
• Annual salary reviews
• Employee discounts and benefits platform
• Comprehensive training and ongoing professional development
• Annual company events and recognition initiatives

Why Join?

• Monday to Friday working with no routine nights or weekends
• More time with patients and the ability to deliver truly person-centred care
• Greater autonomy and ownership of your day
• A supportive and experienced clinical team behind you
• Exposure to a wide variety of therapies and patient pathways
• Clear opportunities for progression into specialist and leadership positions
• The chance to make a genuine difference within your local community

Whether you're currently working as a Community Nurse, Staff Nurse, District Nurse, IV Therapy Nurse, or you're an acute nurse looking for a fresh challenge and a better work-life balance, we'd love to hear from you.
