Handyman / Maintenance Assistant
Location: Cambridge University College (Cambridge)
Hours: 35 hours per week

We are seeking a reliable and practical Handyman / Maintenance Assistant to join our team at one of the colleges affiliated with the University of Cambridge.
This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys carrying out a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, helping to ensure that college buildings and facilities are kept in excellent condition.
Key Responsibilities:
* Changing light bulbs and replacing faulty fittings.
* Carrying out basic plumbing tasks, including unblocking toilets and sinks.
* Installing and repairing fixtures and fittings, such as shower curtains and bathroom accessories.
* Completing minor painting and decorating work.
* Undertaking general maintenance and repair duties across the college site.
* Responding promptly to maintenance requests and ensuring a high standard of workmanship.
* Assisting with the upkeep of student accommodation, offices, and communal areas.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a handyman, caretaking, facilities, or basic maintenance role.
* Good practical skills across a range of general maintenance tasks.
* Basic knowledge of plumbing, decorating, and minor repairs.
* Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
* A positive, flexible, and customer-focused approach.
* Good communication skills and attention to detail.
