The Opportunity

McGeoch Technology, a leading specialist in electrical panel manufacturing for the defence sector, is looking for a motivated and ambitious Manufacturing Engineer to join our Continuous Improvement team.

We are entering a major period of growth. Over the next seven years, we plan to scale our manufacturing capability, strengthen our test processes, and build a more efficient environment across our entire business.

This is a critical role in that journey. You will help shape how we design, produce, test, troubleshoot, and improve our products.

What You Will Do

Lead and support Continuous Improvement projects across production, test, engineering, and wider business processes.
Work with operations teams to improve flow, reduce waste, and remove barriers to performance.
Use lean manufacturing methods and structured problem solving to improve how work is planned, built, tested, and delivered.
Investigate electrical faults in production equipment, test systems, and product build processes.
Improve test methods, test fixtures, and fault-finding routes to increase speed, consistency, and reliability.
Support improvements in product design feedback loops, manufacturing systems, documentation, and process controls.
Identify capacity constraints and help design practical solutions that support long-term business growth.
Use data to understand performance, measure improvement, and sustain results across different teams and functions.
Support the introduction of new products, equipment, systems, and process changes into the business.
Build strong working relationships across production, engineering, quality, supply chain, and support teams.
What We Are Looking For

A strong background in Electrical Engineering, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience with electrical troubleshooting, testing, diagnostics, or production support.
A practical understanding of lean manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or structured problem solving.
The ability to turn technical issues into clear actions and lasting process improvements.
Confidence working with production, quality, and engineering teams.
A hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
The ability to balance immediate production needs with long-term improvement goals.
Clear communication skills and the confidence to challenge existing processes in a constructive way.
Previous assembly experience, electrically biased
Able to read engineering drawings
Experienced with Solid Works
DFMEA / PFMEA experience
Hours

Monday to Thursday 0730 – 1600
Friday 0730 – 1230
Security Requirements

Due to the nature of the products manufactured and related security requirements, applicants must be British passport holders. Dual nationals may be considered, provided they hold a valid British passport and their additional nationality is compatible with the client's security requirements. Eligibility will be assessed during the recruitment process.
