The Supply Chain Lead will play a key role in overseeing and optimising supply chain operations within the FMCG industry. This position is based in Central London and requires a proactive individual with expertise in end-to-end supply chain management.

Description
Lead the Planning Function: Drive the development and continuous improvement of supply, demand & inventory planning processes, establishing scalable ways of working that support business growth and operational excellence.
Optimise Stock Availability: Ensure the right inventory levels are maintained across multiple locations, balancing product availability, working capital and inventory efficiency. Work closely with Warehousing, Procurement and Commercial teams to deliver a reliable supply chain.
Drive Process Improvement & Automation: Identify opportunities to improve planning processes through automation, reporting enhancements and the implementation of scalable tools that reduce manual activity and improve decision-making.
Develop Planning Processes & Performance Metrics: Establish robust planning standards, governance and KPIs, using data and performance insights to proactively manage inventory, identify risks and drive continuous improvement.
Lead, Coach & Develop the Team: Manage and develop a team of inventory planners, creating a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, analytical thinking and continuous development.
Support Business Growth: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure inventory strategies support new product introductions, changing customer demand and business expansion while maintaining healthy stock levels and minimising excess inventory.
Provide Operational Planning Support: Maintain hands-on involvement in planning activities when required, ensuring continuity of operations during periods of increased demand, business change or operational challenges.
Manage Third-Party Logistics Performance: Monitor and review the performance of external logistics partners against agreed service levels, driving improvements where necessary to ensure operational excellence.
Improve Supplier Performance: Develop supplier performance reporting and collaborate with Procurement to monitor supplier reliability, identify improvement opportunities and strengthen supply chain performance.Profile
A successful Supply Chain Lead should have:
Proven leadership experience within Supply Chain, Inventory Planning, or Supply Planning, with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong planning and operational expertise, with experience managing complex inventory environments, improving supply chain performance and supporting business growth through scalable processes and effective stock management.
Data-driven and technology-focused, with advanced analytical skills and experience leveraging automation, planning systems and digital tools to improve efficiency, streamline workflows and enhance decision-making.
Commercially minded with a continuous improvement mindset, able to balance customer service, inventory investment and operational performance while identifying opportunities to optimise processes and deliver measurable business value.
Hands-on, collaborative and proactive, with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to adapt quickly, influence cross-functional teams and deliver results in a dynamic, evolving business environment.Job Offer
