Pertemps is recruiting on behalf of our client for two dedicated Youth Development Workers to join a supported accommodation service supporting young people aged 16–25.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, helping young people develop the confidence, resilience, and life skills needed to live independently and achieve their goals.

The RoleAs a Youth Development Worker, you will provide person-centred support to young people, empowering them to overcome challenges and move towards independent living.

Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one key worker support to young people aged 16–25.

Develop, implement, and review individual support and action plans.

Complete and maintain risk assessments and risk management plans.

Support tenancy sustainment and housing-related matters.

Assist with benefits applications, including Universal Credit, PIP, and Housing Benefit.

Help young people develop budgeting and money management skills.

Support access to education, training, and employment opportunities.

Work collaboratively with external agencies and support services.

Prepare young people for successful move-on and independent living.

Deliver creative, flexible, and person-centred support tailored to individual needs.

About You

We're looking for passionate individuals who are committed to achieving positive outcomes for young people.
You will ideally have:

Experience engaging with and supporting young people.

A strong understanding of safeguarding principles.

Knowledge of emotional wellbeing and mental health challenges affecting young people.

Experience creating and reviewing support plans.

An understanding of risk assessment and risk management.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

A proactive and resilient approach to supporting vulnerable individuals.
