Our client is a specialist precision engineering manufacturer looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join their growing team. What's on Offer?

* £25,000 starting salary

* Permanent, full-time position

* 4-day working week (Monday to Thursday)

* Flexible start times (6:00am, 6:30am or 7:00am)

The Role

Working as part of the production team, you'll assemble high-precision mechanical products to exact specifications. This is a hands-on role requiring accuracy, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

Duties include:

* Mechanical assembly of precision components and sub-assemblies

* Using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment

* Working from engineering drawings, assembly instructions and technical documentation

* Measuring and checking components to ensure they meet required dimensions and tolerances

* Inspecting finished products to company quality standards

* Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient work area

* Reporting any quality, tooling or equipment issues

* Supporting production targets while maintaining high standards of workmanship

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys practical work and wants to build a long-term career in engineering manufacturing.

You'll ideally have:

* Experience within manufacturing, engineering, production, assembly or mechanical environments

* Good mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand tools

* The ability to read measurements and work accurately to dimensions and tolerances

* Experience following technical instructions, engineering drawings or assembly procedures

* Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality work

* A positive attitude and willingness to learn
