Conveyancing Solicitor
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Residential Conveyancing Solicitor with approximately 5 years Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) to join our busy property department. The successful candidate will manage a full caseload of residential property transactions from instruction through to completion, delivering high-quality legal services and maintaining excellent client care standards.
You will play a key role within the team, supporting junior staff where appropriate, contributing to departmental growth, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and professional obligations.
Responsibilities:
* Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters including:
Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
Re-mortgages
Transfers of equity
New build transactions
Shared ownership matters (if applicable)
* Handle files from instruction through to post-completion independently
* Conduct all necessary legal due diligence, including title checks and searches
* Draft and review contracts, transfer deeds, and supporting documentation
* Liaise effectively with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors
* Provide clear, timely, and commercially sound legal advice
* Ensure compliance with AML regulations, SRA Code of Conduct, and firm policies
* Meet individual and departmental billing targets
* Maintain accurate time recording and file management
* Support and supervise junior fee earners or paralegals where required
* Contribute to process improvements and efficiency within the department
Key Skills:
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with approximately 5 years PQE in residential conveyancing
* Proven ability to run a busy, high-volume caseload independently
* Strong technical knowledge of residential property law and procedures
* Excellent client care and communication skills
