About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Purview Consultant to lead the design, implementation and optimisation of Microsoft Purview solutions across enterprise environments.

This is a hands-on consulting role focused on delivering Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Data Governance solutions using the Microsoft Purview suite. You'll work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to design secure, compliant data protection strategies while helping organisations maximise the value of their Microsoft 365 investment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with deep Microsoft Purview expertise who enjoys working directly with clients, solving complex security challenges and delivering high-quality technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Microsoft Purview Delivery

• Design, implement and optimise Microsoft Purview Information Protection and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions.
• Deliver Microsoft Purview engagements across enterprise Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
• Configure and manage sensitivity labels, label policies and data protection controls.
• Implement Microsoft Purview Information Protection capabilities to safeguard sensitive business information.

Data Classification & Information Protection

• Design and implement enterprise data classification strategies.
• Configure and optimise Sensitive Information Types (SITs), Exact Data Match (EDM) and Trainable Classifiers.
• Develop and implement labelling and protection policies across Microsoft 365 workloads.
• Advise clients on Information Protection and data governance best practices.

Security Architecture & Risk

• Conduct security assessments and identify data protection risks.
• Design secure solutions aligned with regulatory and business requirements.
• Recommend and implement appropriate security controls to reduce organisational risk.
• Support cloud security architecture across Microsoft Azure environments.

Compliance & Governance

• Deliver solutions that support GDPR and other regulatory compliance requirements.
• Implement auditing, monitoring and reporting capabilities.
• Support Information Governance and Data Lifecycle Management initiatives.
• Contribute to security standards, governance frameworks and best practices.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience delivering Microsoft Purview solutions within enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview Information Protection and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
• Expertise in Sensitive Information Types (SITs), Exact Data Match (EDM) and Trainable Classifiers.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 Compliance and Information Governance.
• Experience implementing sensitivity labels, retention policies and compliance controls.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure security and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with Identity & Access Management (IAM), encryption technologies and security controls.
• Strong consulting, stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.

Desirable Skills

• Experience delivering Microsoft Purview consultancy within Professional Services or Managed Services environments.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Defender and the wider Microsoft Security ecosystem.
• Experience working within highly regulated industries.
• Microsoft certifications relating to Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Security or Azure Security.
• Experience with Power BI, SQL Server or enterprise data platforms.
