An exciting opportunity has become available for a paediatric Occupational Therapist at Cavendish View independent special school.
Cavendish View school provides education for pupils aged 5-11 years with Autistic Spectrum Conditions, ADHD, physical developmental delay, sensory processing differences, complex needs such as epilepsy, and a wide range of additional learning needs. We work closely with the pupils, parents, families and other carers and professionals, creating an environment where learning, ability, independence, and success are central to all that we do.
About The Role:
Term Time only
Key Responsibilities
Deliver Occupational Therapy provision in line with EHCP requirements, ensuring all interventions are evidenced and recorded
Conduct assessments and develop care plans to promote independence and support learning
Implement and monitor therapy programmes aligned with the school’s ethos
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, communicating effectively with staff, pupils, and families
Recommend appropriate equipment and resources, ensuring effective use of budget
Deliver staff training and provide guidance to support effective programme implementation
Support pupil access to the curriculum through functional, play-based, and independence-focused interventions
Lead on postural management, including seating assessments, positioning, and equipment provisionProfessional Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records in line with data protection and confidentiality policies
Ensure compliance with all organisational policies and procedures
Support health, safety, and wellbeing by maintaining safe environments and reporting incidents appropriatelyPersonal Development
Engage in ongoing training and professional development
