The Role

A vacancy has arisen for a FLT Driver/Material Handling at our Markham Vale Site.

The role involves working a 12 hour continental shift pattern working 6am – 6pm and 6pm – 6am.

Reporting to a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day operations within the factory facility as well as the safe and efficient loading/unloading of pallets, whilst health and safety is adhered to at all times.

This challenging position demands a proactive “hands on” approach, complimented by accuracy, adherence to deadlines and laid down procedures

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:

Counterbalance / FLT - Essential

Knowledge of warehouse Health and Safety requirements.

Safe stacking and unstacking large quantities of pallets into racking

Moving pallets from storage areas to loading areas for transport

Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the pallets to their designated storage areas

Excellent time management with a flexible approach to work

Skills : accuracy, attention to detail, reliability, computer literate

Able to work to tight deadlines and targets - under own initiative and as part of a team

Naturally self-motivated and have the ability to work under minimum supervision

The willingness to carry out other tasks as and when required
