About the Role

A thriving and inclusive secondary school in South Manchester is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and qualified PE Teacher with QTS to join our successful Physical Education department.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about sport, fitness, and wellbeing, and who can encourage all students to develop confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love of physical activity.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver high-quality PE lessons across a range of sports and physical activities

* Teach and inspire students of varying abilities in Key Stages 3 and 4

* Plan engaging, inclusive, and progressive lessons aligned with the national curriculum

* Assess, monitor, and support student progress effectively

* Contribute to extra-curricular sports clubs, teams, and fixtures

* Promote health, fitness, and wellbeing across the school community

* Maintain high standards of behaviour and safety in all sporting activities

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

* A degree in Physical Education or a related subject

* Strong subject knowledge across a range of sports and PE disciplines

* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

* Enthusiasm for promoting sport and physical wellbeing

* The ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities

* A commitment to extra-curricular sport and school life

* Strong communication and teamwork skills
