We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our supportive secondary school community in the Wigan area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to the learning, progress and wellbeing of young people across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff and the SEN department to support students with a range of additional needs, both in the classroom and through targeted interventions. You will help ensure all learners are fully included, supported and able to reach their potential.

We are looking for someone who can:

* Support students in lessons to access the curriculum effectively

* Work 1:1 and with small groups to deliver targeted learning support

* Assist with students’ social, emotional and behavioural needs

* Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and learning strategies

* Promote positive behaviour, engagement and independence

* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO and pastoral staff

The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic and proactive, with a genuine passion for supporting young people. Experience working in a school or with children/young people is desirable but not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
