Accountancy Practice Technician / Semi-Senior

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Accounts: Semi-Senior to join a friendly and professional team in North Devon. This is a progressive role where your skills and career can flourish, with ongoing support, training and opportunities to advance.

Key Duties:

Working on a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from sole traders to limited companies.
Preparing monthly and year-end accounts.
Assisting with both personal and corporate tax compliance.
Managing VAT returns and bookkeeping tasks.
Attending client meetings and handling day-to-day queries.

Requirements:

Ideally AAT qualified, although applications are welcomed from those with relevant experience but without formal qualifications.
Good working knowledge of Excel, Outlook and Word.
Previous recent experience within an accountancy practice is essential.
Experience at Technician or Semi-Senior level preferred.
Ability to work from the Barnstaple or South Molton offices in North Devon.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive client relationships.
