About the Role
We are looking for a caring and motivated Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning within our primary school, including providing support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will work closely with teachers to help pupils achieve their full potential in a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and activities
* Provide one-to-one or small group support, including for pupils with SEN
* Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
* Assist children with a range of needs, adapting support where required
* Assist with classroom preparation, resources, and displays
* Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement in learning
Essential Requirements
* Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Previous experience working in a primary school or with children (desirable)
* Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Understanding of the primary curriculum
