Subway Sandwich Artist

We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Subway Sandwich Artist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing fresh sandwiches, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organised work environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills within a fast-paced, customer-focused setting. Prior experience in food preparation or restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, good time management skills, and a positive attitude.
Duties
• Prepare customised sandwiches and salads according to customer specifications while adhering to food safety standards
• Serve customers efficiently with a friendly and professional approach
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including counters, utensils, and equipment
• Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts
• Upsell additional menu items to maximise sales opportunities
• Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and hygiene standards
• Manage cash register operations accurately and efficiently
• Assist in opening or closing the store as required, ensuring all procedures are followed
Skills
• Experience in food preparation or restaurant service is preferred but not essential
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
• Basic maths skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients
• Previous kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours
• Ability to upsell products confidently to enhance customer experience and sales performance
• Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
