Are you a qualified SENCO looking for a rewarding leadership opportunity within a welcoming and supportive primary school?

Do you have a passion for ensuring every child with SEND receives the highest quality education and support to achieve their full potential?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic primary school in the Maldon area that is seeking to appoint an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join their leadership team on a permanent, part-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in leading SEND provision across the school, working closely with the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher to ensure every pupil receives the support they need to thrive. The successful candidate will lead the strategic development of SEND, oversee interventions, line manage Learning Support Assistants, and work collaboratively with parents, external agencies, and teaching staff.

The successful SENCO will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
The National Award for SEN Coordination (or equivalent SENCO qualification).
Previous experience leading SEND provision within a primary school.
Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and Essex SEND procedures.
Experience completing EHCP applications, annual reviews and multi-agency working.
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
A proactive, resilient and child-centred approach.
