HRGO Recruitment Bishops Stortford are looking for an organised Production Planner for our progressive Worldwide Manufacturing client. In this role, you will keep the factory running smoothly.
You will track parts, schedule orders and make sure the production flows.
Daily tasks include will work closely with our factory floor, inventory stores, and sales teams. If you love solving puzzles and keeping things moving, this job is for you!
Key Duties
Keep Production Moving: Track and chase parts through the factory floor to meet build targets and guarantee on-time customer delivery.
Manage Orders: Create, release, and complete production orders, with component parts pick lists.
Control Inventory: Manage and audit factory stock levels by leading daily perpetual inventory (cycle counts) for our stores and factory.
Solve Problems: Action engineering change requests and work closely with teams to update parts forecasts using tools like Demand Solutions.
Be a Team Player: Work closely with other departments to give the sales team accurate delivery dates, and step in to cover for logistics and scheduling supervisors when needed.
Skills & Experience required
Experience working as a Production Planner, Scheduler, or Controller in a factory environment.
Confident with Excel and some SAP knowledge working as a Production Planner, Scheduler, or Controller in a factory environment.
Strong skills in tracking inventory and running cycle counts.
Great communication skills to work with factory staff, engineers, and sales teams.
Good computer skills (experience with scheduling or forecasting software is a plus).
A flexible worker who is ready to step up and support supervisors when needed
