Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of commercial delivery on a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects?
We're looking for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team, supporting the successful delivery of projects from award through to final account. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where you'll have real influence over commercial performance and contractual compliance.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of multiple projects, working closely with Contract Managers, site teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered profitably and in line with contractual requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
·Managing change control and compensation events throughout the project lifecycle.
·Producing accurate Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and commercial reporting.
·Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and commercial performance.
·Assessing and processing applications for payment.
·Advising Contract Managers on contractual obligations and commercial risks.
·Administering contracts under NEC forms, with particular knowledge of Option A and Option B.
·Supporting cost forecasting, valuations and final accounts.
·Identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance while minimising risk.
About You
You'll be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong understanding of NEC contracts and a proactive approach to commercial management.
You'll ideally have:
·Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities.
·Strong knowledge of NEC contracts, particularly Option A and Option B.
·Experience producing accurate CVRs and commercial forecasts.
·Confidence managing subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
·Experience assessing applications for payment and managing change.
·Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
·The ability to advise operational teams on contractual obligations and best practice.
·Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
