Metal Polisher

Location: Birmingham
* An established manufacturing company based in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Metal Polisher to join their team on a permanent basis.
* This role requires previous experience in hand polishing brass components using a lathe within a factory environment. Applications will be considered from candidates with a minimum of 6 months’ recent, relevant experience.
* Metal polishing is a skilled trade that typically takes several years to master. You will initially work on basic components and, as your skills develop, progress to polishing more complex and larger parts requiring high-quality finishes.
Pay Rate:
* Competitive and dependent on experience. Highly skilled and experienced polishers will be offered rates that reflect their expertise.
Duties:
* Manual polishing of brass components
* Using hand tools, lathes, and polishing mops
* Inspecting finished components to ensure high-quality standards
* Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of work areas and benches
* Carrying out any other duties as reasonably required
Requirements:
* Previous experience in metal polishing (hand and machine polishing)
* Experience using lathes and polishing equipment
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work to high-quality standards
Hours:
* Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 15:30
* Friday: 07:00 – 12:30
