Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30am - 3:15pm, school holidays
About the School:
We're working with a specialist SEND provision in Rochdale that runs vibrant, action-packed holiday clubs for young people aged 4-18 with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities. This is a brilliant opportunity to do something truly rewarding during the school holidays - bringing energy, creativity, and fun to young people who thrive on positive experiences and consistent support.
Activity Leader - SEND Holiday Club Role and Responsibilities:
Planning and leading fun, inclusive activities for young people aged 4-18 with SEND
Creating a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment for every young person
Supporting individual needs and adapting activities to suit a range of abilities
Supervising young people throughout the session, ensuring their safety at all times
Setting up and clearing away equipment at the start and end of each session
Working as part of a close-knit, enthusiastic team
Building positive relationships with young people, families, and colleagues
Supporting with personal care and daily living tasks where required
Activity Leader - SEND Holiday Club - What We're Looking For:
A fun, energetic, and creative approach to working with young people
Experience working with children or young people with SEND, disabilities, or complex needs
Plenty of initiative, a great sense of humour, and bags of enthusiasm
Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with young people of all abilities
A team player who is reliable, adaptable, and fully committed during sessions
A CACHE, NVQ, or relevant childcare/youth work qualification is desirable but not essential
Activity Leader - SEND Holiday Club - To Be Eligible You Must:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK
Have an enhanced child barred list DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
Be able to provide two professional references (child-related preferred)
