We are working with a welcoming and supportive school in Newbury seeking a motivated and enthusiastic English Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers, supporting students both in the classroom and through small-group and one-to-one interventions. Key Responsibilities

Support students during English lessons through one-to-one and small-group interventions.

Encourage positive behaviour, participation and confidence within the classroom.
Prepare learning resources and support differentiated learning activities.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A degree in English or a closely related subject.
A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain ideas clearly and effectively.
Patience, empathy and a proactive, positive approach.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team.
Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential).
