Job Description:

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our industry-leading client based Chester Le Street . We are looking for multiple Warehouse Operatives to join the team.

Temp to perm

1.30AM START UNTIL FINISH AROUND 10.30AM

Pay Rate: £12.71

Location: Chester Le Street
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate

The role:

* Sorted and organised incoming parcels, freight, and large household appliances accurately and efficiently according to designated routes and destinations.

* Safely handled, moved, and lifted heavy white goods, including refrigerators, washing machines, cookers, and other large appliances, in accordance with manual handling procedures.

* Operated conveyor belts, handheld scanners, pallet trucks, and other warehouse equipment to support the efficient movement and sorting of goods.

* Ensured accurate labelling, scanning, and categorisation of parcels and bulky items to minimise errors and maintain operational efficiency.

* Assisted with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, securing freight and maximising vehicle space utilisation for safe transportation.

* Worked collaboratively with colleagues to maintain productivity, meet operational targets, and ensure the timely dispatch of goods.

* Identified damaged parcels or appliances and followed established procedures for reporting, documentation, and safe handling.

* Maintained a clean, organised, and safe working environment while adhering to health and safety regulations.

* Followed company policies, security procedures, and manual handling guidelines within a fast-paced warehouse and distribution setting.

* Demonstrated physical fitness, reliability, and attention to detail while handling high volumes of parcels and heavy goods throughout each shift.

Requirements:

* Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or parcel sorting is preferred but not required.

* Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift packages of varying weights.

* Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate sorting and labelling of parcels.

* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

* Team player with excellent communication skills.

* Flexibility to work night shifts and occasional overtime as needed.

* Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse location.
