Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, including heavy lifting, picking and packing, and shipping and receiving. Responsibilities
* Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of goods as required.
* Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
* Build and assemble pallets for storage or shipment.
* Accurately pick and pack orders for dispatch.
* Maintain stock levels and assist with inventory management.
* Handle materials with care to prevent damage during movement.
* Demonstrate mechanical knowledge when performing basic maintenance on equipment.
* Load and unload goods from lorries or containers as necessary.
* Utilise the warehouse management system to track inventory and shipments.
* Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) regularly throughout the shift.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
* Basic mechanical knowledge is beneficial for equipment maintenance tasks.
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
* A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance with health regulations is essential.
* Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the business needs.
