Exciting Opportunity for a HLTA

We are currently recruiting for a motivated and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a nurturing and inclusive primary school in the Eastleigh area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HLTA or someone with equivalent experience looking to make a meaningful impact in this role.

The successful HLTA will work closely with teachers, SEND staff, and pupils to deliver high-quality learning support, interventions, and class cover.

Key Responsibilities of the HLTA Role:

Provide planned and ad-hoc class cover across year groups
Deliver booster sessions and targeted interventions to raise attainment
Support pupils with SEND and EHCP targets
Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider support team
Promote positive behaviour and engagement
Follow guidance from external agencies to meet individual needs
Build nurturing relationships to help pupils overcome barriers to learning
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times

What We're Looking For in an HLTA:

HLTA qualification or equivalent experience (or willingness to complete training)
Experience supporting pupils with additional needs
A flexible, proactive, and reflective approach
Ability to extend learning and promote inclusion
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who is passionate about helping every child thrive
