Your new role
As Legal Counsel, you will provide practical legal and contractual advice across the full project lifecycle, supporting both pre-construction and delivery teams.

Key responsibilities include:

Advising on tenders, identifying risks and supporting bid teams with mitigation strategies
Supporting contract execution and ensuring compliance with internal governance
Assisting with claims, disputes and adjudication processes
Contributing to legal risk reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
Delivering training and guidance to internal stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed

Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' PQE (Scots Law qualification essential; dual qualification in English Law advantageous).
Proven experience within construction or infrastructure law, ideally in-house or supporting similar clients.
Extensive experience working with JCT, SBCC and NEC forms of contract and their amendments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex contractual documentation.
Ability to deliver training and confidently present to senior audiences.
