PTS Electricians

We are currently seeking experienced PTS Electricians with specialist knowledge of trackside power systems for 4-6 months working at Huddersfield train station.
The role involves the installation, maintenance, fault finding, testing, and repair of trackside electrical infrastructure — including signalling power supplies, functional supply points (FSPs), battery systems, cabling, terminations, and associated equipment.
Key responsibilities
* Safe execution of electrical works on or near the line in accordance with industry standards and safety protocols
* Fault diagnosis, remedial repairs, and planned maintenance
* Inspection, testing (including Megger/cable testing), and commissioning activities
* Crimping, terminating, and installing SWA/containment where required
* Compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental requirements
Essential requirements
* Valid Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification
* JIB Gold Card (or equivalent) and up-to-date 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
* 2391 (or similar) Inspection & Testing certification highly desirable
* Strong rail electrical background with trackside experience
