OverviewWe are supporting a leading advanced manufacturing organisation embarking on a critical transition from ISO 9001 to IATF 16949. This is a high-impact programme focused on building a fully embedded, business-owned Quality Management System, not simply achieving compliance.

We’re looking for a proven QMS Implementation Lead with hands-on experience delivering IATF 16949 transformations end-to-end. This role requires more than gap assessments - you will architect, implement, and embed a future-state QMS across the organisation through to certification.

The RoleThis is a hands-on transformation leadership role, responsible for designing and delivering an integrated IATF 16949 QMS while driving cross-functional engagement.

You will:

Lead the transition from ISO 9001 to IATF 16949
Design the future-state QMS architecture (not layered add-ons)
Drive ownership of quality processes across engineering, operations, and supply chain
Ensure alignment between QMS design and a new digital QMS platform implementation
Deliver the programme through to Stage 2 certification auditAbout YouEssential Experience
Proven track record delivering end-to-end IATF 16949 implementation
Strong knowledge of automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
Experience within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive or manufacturing environment
Ability to design and embed systems, not just document processes
Demonstrated success driving change across cross-functional teams
Experience building internal audit capability
Strong stakeholder management from shop floor to senior leadership
