Are you a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding part-time role within a welcoming Primary School?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a committed and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive Primary School in Gotham. This is a part-time position, working Monday to Friday from 8:45am until 12:00pm, supporting pupils across the primary age range.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping children reach their full potential and enjoys working as part of a collaborative school team.

As the Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis, in small intervention groups, and within whole-class settings
Deliver and support high-quality phonics sessions
Adapt learning activities to meet the individual needs of pupils, providing both support and appropriate challenge
Quickly identify misconceptions and provide effective in-the-moment interventions to develop pupils' knowledge and understanding
Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Manage behaviour using calm, positive, and consistent strategies
Work closely with the class teacher and wider school staff to support pupil progress and wellbeingTo be considered for this role, you will have:

Experience working within a Primary School setting across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
Experience supporting children on a one-to-one basis, in small groups, and within whole-class learning
Experience delivering or supporting the teaching of phonics
Strong behaviour management skills with the ability to remain calm, patient, and consistent
An NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or an equivalent relevant qualification)
A strong understanding of child development and pedagogy
The ability to adapt activities to ensure all children are appropriately supported and challenged
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
