Location: Lambeth, South London
Pay: £108.35 per day

Are you a qualified British Sign Language (BSL) Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity to support deaf and hearing-impaired pupils in a welcoming primary school?
Our education recruitment agency is working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Lambeth to recruit a dedicated BSL Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring pupils can fully access learning and participate confidently in all aspects of school life.
Provide 1:1 and classroom support for pupils who are deaf or have hearing impairments.
Use British Sign Language (BSL) to facilitate effective communication between pupils, teachers and peers.
Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and achieving their individual learning targets.
Adapt learning materials and reinforce classroom teaching where appropriate.
Encourage independence, confidence and social inclusion.
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, Teachers of the Deaf and external professionals.
Promote an inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.The Ideal Candidate
BSL qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 minimum preferred).
Experience working with deaf or hearing-impaired children in an educational or similar setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient, caring and adaptable approach.
A commitment to supporting inclusion and equal access to education.
Previous Teaching Assistant experience is desirable but not essential.What the School Offers
