£30,000 - £35,000 per annum (DOE)
12 week Temp-Perm
Supplying to a broad portfolio of clients, the business has a strong order book and continued investment. They are looking to expand their workshop team with the addition of a Mechanical Assembly Fitter. This is a workshop only role, with no travel or working away.
Role Overview:
This is a hands-on position suited to someone with a strong mechanical background, ideally with experience in mechanical assembly, fabrication, or general engineering. You'll be working in a supportive, skilled team assembling bespoke machinery using a range of hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble components and structures to engineering drawings and specifications
Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments accurately
Ensure proper alignment, fit, and finish of all assembled parts
Support fabrication and build processes as required
Perform quality checks to ensure assemblies meet required standards
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all health & safety proceduresSkills & Experience Required:
Apprentice-trained or experienced in mechanical/fabrication assembly
Confident in reading and interpreting technical drawings
Skilled in using hand/power tools and various measuring equipment
Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitudeBenefits:
£30,000 - £35,000 per annum (DOE)
Monday - Thursday 7am-5pm & Friday 7am-12:30pm
Weekly pay
24 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays when permanent
Temp - Permanent, full-time role with early finish on Fridays
