We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to join a reputable family-owned main dealership in Grays, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to lead a team and drive performance within a well-established business. Our client is seeking a Service Manager who can effectively oversee daily operations and deliver exceptional customer service standards. The ideal individual will have a proven background in managing aftersales teams and a strong focus on achieving sales targets and KPIs.

Working Monday to Friday with one in three Saturday mornings

Opportunity to work closely with senior management, reporting to the MD and Sales & Customer Experience DirectorDuties:
Oversee and lead the service department ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
Manage a team comprising four front of house staff and seven workshop technicians
Drive sales and meet labour hours targets of 1100 to 1200 hours per month
Develop staff careers through coaching and performance management
Maintain excellent relationships with customers and suppliers
Monitor and achieve KPIs, ensuring departmental profitability
Report directly to senior management, contributing to strategic planning and operational improvementsRequirements of a Service Manager:
Proven experience as a Service Manager or Aftersales Manager within a main dealership environment
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
Ability to motivate staff and improve team performance
