This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to inspire students through practical, engaging lessons that develop creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical knowledge.
The Role as a Design Technology Teacher, you will:
🛠️ Teach Design Technology across Key Stages 3 & 4
✏️ Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that encourage creativity, innovation, and independent thinking
🧰 Teach a broad range of Design Technology disciplines, depending on your specialism (Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Engineering, or CAD/CAM)
👩🏫 Support students' academic progress and wellbeing as a Form Tutor
📈 Assess, monitor, and track student progress, using data to inform planning and interventions
🤝 Contribute to curriculum development, resource planning, and the continued success of the Design Technology department
🌟 Promote a safe, inclusive, and inspiring workshop environment, ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed We're Looking For
✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
✔️ A degree in Design Technology, Engineering, Product Design, or a related subject
✔️ Experience teaching Design Technology at KS3 and KS4 (ECTs are welcome to apply)
✔️ Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging practical lessons
✔️ Excellent classroom management and communication skills
