Production Supervisor An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a well-established manufacturing business operating within the aerospace and defence sector.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for driving production performance, leading a team on the shop floor, and ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with the Production Manager and wider operations team, you'll play a key role in achieving production targets while championing continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities for a Production Supervisor:
Lead, coach and motivate a production team to achieve daily production targets.
Monitor performance against safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity KPIs.
Coordinate workflow and production schedules within your manufacturing area.
Conduct daily team briefings and provide regular performance feedback.
Identify training needs and support the development of team members.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and lean manufacturing activities.
Investigate production issues, support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality and company procedures.
Work collaboratively with Production Planning, Engineering and Operations teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
Support the Production Manager and deputise when required.What we're looking for in a Production Supervisor:
Previous experience in a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor or Cell Leader position.
Background within the aerospace or defence manufacturing industry is essential.
Experience leading teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and production KPIs.
Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
