Senior Manager - Air, Sea & Road Freight

Location: West Midlands (DY6)
Sector: Logistics & Supply Chain
Salary: £60,000-£85,000 (DOE) + OTE (to be clarified)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm
Working Pattern: Hybrid (2 days in the office)
Start Date: ASAP

The Opportunity

Our client, a growing business within the logistics and supply chain sector, is looking for an experienced Senior Manager - Air, Sea & Road Freight to establish and lead its Freight Forwarding division.

This is a unique opportunity to build a department from the ground up, working closely with senior leadership to develop operations, drive business growth, build customer relationships and recruit a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and growth of the Air, Sea & Road Freight division.
Develop operational processes and best practices.
Build, mentor and manage the freight forwarding team.
Develop relationships with customers, overseas agents and suppliers.
Drive new business opportunities and revenue growth.
Oversee day-to-day freight forwarding operations.
Ensure compliance with customs and import/export regulations.
Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.

About You

You'll have:

Proven Air & Sea Freight forwarding experience.
Previous management or senior leadership experience.
Strong commercial and business development skills.
Excellent knowledge of international freight forwarding.
Customs and Road Freight experience (desirable).
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
A proactive, entrepreneurial approach.
