Laminator | Ferndown | Up to £16 per hour
If you take pride in doing things properly and want to be part of a skilled, close-knit team, this could be the role for you. As a Laminator, you'll play a hands-on part in the production of high-quality composite components, with the consistency and security of a well-established local employer behind you.
As a Laminator, you will benefit from:
Stable and long-term work
A supportive team environment where your contribution is valued
On-the-job development and opportunities to grow your composites skills
Regular hours with a consistent shift pattern
As a Laminator, your responsibilities will include:
Laying up six layers of E-glass fibreglass webbing around pipes to specification
Fitting heat shells and applying carbon fibre outer layers as part of the build process
Preparing moulds, applying release agents, and ensuring surfaces are correctly prepped
Carrying out inspection of finished laminates and flagging any defects
Supporting the wider team to maintain a clean and organised workshop
As a Laminator, your experience will include:
Proven hands-on experience in a GRP production environment — this is essential
Familiarity with carbon fibre processes is desirable but not required
Strong working knowledge of wet lay-up, infusion, or prepreg processes (one or more)
A mature, measured approach to precision manufacturing work
Confidence working independently to high quality and production standards
Experience in aerospace, marine, or automotive composites is advantageous
If you're ready to bring your composites expertise to a role where your skills are genuinely put to use, we'd like to hear from you. Apply today with an up-to-date CV or call Scott at Rubicon Recruitment
