As a Shunter, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient movement of vehicles valued in excess of £60,000 across the site. This is a hands-on, safety‑critical role that requires precision, awareness, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle movement — Safely manoeuvre high-value vehicles around the yard, workshop, and storage areas.
Safety compliance — Follow all site safety protocols, traffic flow rules, and vehicle handling procedures.
Coordination — Work closely with workshop, logistics, and yard teams to ensure smooth operational flow.
Vehicle checks — Conduct basic pre‑movement inspections to ensure vehicles are safe to manoeuvre.Requirements
Clean manual UK driving licence (essential).
Experience in vehicle shunting or yard operations preferred but not mandatory.
Strong spatial awareness and confidence handling high‑value vehicles.
Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
