The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Agent to lead the delivery of a key work package on one of the UK's most prestigious marine civil engineering projects.
Working on a nationally important infrastructure development, you'll take ownership of complex heavy civils and reinforced concrete works within a demanding marine environment. The Role
As Site Agent, you'll be responsible for the safe, efficient, and commercially successful delivery of a significant section of works, ensuring projects are completed to programme, budget, and the highest quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
Taking overall responsibility for a major package of works
Leading Senior Engineers, Section Engineers, and site delivery teams
Managing subcontractors and specialist supply chain partners
Driving short-term planning and maintaining programme performance
Acting as the primary point of contact for the client and attending progress meetings
Promoting and maintaining exemplary health & safety standards across site
Reviewing and approving RAMS
Working closely with commercial teams on cost reporting, forecasting, and budget control
Identifying project risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies
Ensuring technical compliance and quality across reinforced concrete and marine construction activities This is a highly visible leadership position offering genuine ownership and the opportunity to make a significant impact on a flagship infrastructure project.
About You
We're looking for an accomplished Site Agent with a proven background in heavy civil engineering projects.
You'll ideally have:
Experience delivering major civil engineering schemes in a Site Agent position
Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete construction
Marine or large infrastructure project experience (desirable)
A successful track record of leading site teams and subcontractors
Good commercial awareness with experience working under NEC contracts
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Eligibility to obtain SC Security Clearance You'll be a confident decision-maker who thrives in a fast-paced project environment and enjoys taking accountability for successful delivery.
