Welder Fabricator (Permanent)
We are looking for a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our team on a permanent basis. We work at the heavy end of steel wear parts. If you are tired of high volume, repetitive manufacturing and want a role where you can actually use your brain to solve problems on the fly, this is the job for you.
What you will be doing
No two days are exactly the same here. You will be working on a huge variety of heavy duty jobs, including:
* Fabricating stock stillages.
* Carrying out bespoke repairs and modifications on excavator buckets, bulldozer blades, quarry recycling crusher parts, grabs, and lifting equipment.
* Working with heavy materials. We cut steel plate up to 120mm thick and press steel plate to form excavator bucket floors to exact customer requirements.
* Predominantly MIG welding, alongside a small amount of MMA.
Because our work is so varied and often bespoke, you need to be comfortable reviewing and amending plans as you go.
What we can offer you
We pay weekly, so you are paid for exactly what you work rather than being on a fixed salary.
* Pay: £17.00 to £17.50 per hour to start, depending on your experience.
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00.
* Overtime: You get 40 hours at your standard rate, plus a guaranteed 2.5 hours of overtime every week. This brings your annualised earnings to around £39,500. Extra overtime is regularly available on top of this.
* Breaks: A 30 minute lunch break, plus paid 15 minute breaks in the morning and afternoon.
* Holidays: 28 days annual leave including bank holidays.
Room to grow
We have a long term strategy for our welding and fabrication area, which includes creating a team lead role in the near future. If you are the right person and want to progress, there is genuine potential to step up and grow with us
