Are you a patient, passionate and proactive SEN TA looking for your next opportunity?
An inclusive and supportive Special Needs School in Warwick is seeking a caring and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team on a full-time, long-term ongoing basis from September.
The School provides a welcoming learning environment where every child is valued and encouraged to succeed. Through a creative and engaging curriculum, pupils are supported academically, socially and emotionally, with a strong emphasis on inclusion and personalised learning.
The School caters for pupils aged 4–11 years with additional needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
Key Responsibilities:
* Follow statutory safeguarding guidance in line with KCSIE
* Foster a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
* Provide tailored support to pupils on a 1:1 basis/small groups
* Work closely with Teachers and the SENCO to adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
* Encourage pupil independence, confidence and participation
* Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and social development
* Record and monitor pupil progress/behaviour and provide feedback to pupils and teaching staff
* Completing administrative tasks as required
The Ideal Candidate:
* Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above
* Has a minimum of 3 months’ experience working with children in an educational or similar setting
* Has knowledge and understanding of a range of SEND
* Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Has good Literacy, Numeracy and IT skills
