Premier Education Ltd are currently working in partnership with a specialist secondary provision in the Stoke-on-Trent / Staffordshire area who are seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to teach within a supportive specialist setting, delivering practical and engaging Food Technology lessons to students with a range of additional learning needs, including Autism (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and moderate learning difficulties.
The successful candidate will be committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where students can develop confidence, independence, and valuable life skills through practical learning.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Adapt lessons to meet a range of individual learning needs
Promote safe working practices within the food technology classroom
Support pupils' academic, personal and social development
Assess and monitor pupil progress
Work collaboratively with support staff and the wider school team
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
Experience working with pupils with SEND is desirable
Strong classroom management skills
A creative, patient and adaptable approach
Ability to provide two references covering the last two years
Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
Pay
£140 - £200 per day (dependent on experience and pay scale)
