We are seeking a committed, enthusiastic and flexible Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across the school, supporting pupils of all ages and abilities to achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will be adaptable and confident working in a variety of classroom settings, providing high-quality support to teachers and pupils. They will be expected to build positive relationships, promote an inclusive learning environment and respond effectively to the changing needs of the school.
The successful candidate will:
* Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
* Be flexible and willing to work across different year groups as required.
* Have experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including adapting learning to meet individual needs.
* Have a good understanding of the role of the class teacher and be able to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
* Be proactive, patient and nurturing, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Be committed to promoting high expectations, positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing.
* Be able to work independently using their own initiative as well as collaboratively with colleagues.
Desirable skills and experience:
* Knowledge and experience of delivering or supporting phonics interventions (for example, Little Wandle, Read Write Inc. or a similar systematic synthetic phonics programme).
* Experience delivering small-group or one-to-one interventions to support learning and progress.
* Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications.
