Servara Ltd are working with a well established organisation to recruit a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join their team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining high standards across sports and landscaped grounds.
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for:
Preparing and maintaining sports pitches including football, rugby and cricket
Looking after all weather surfaces such as artificial pitches and courts
Carrying out general grounds maintenance including mowing, hedge cutting and upkeep of landscaped areas
Setting up pitches, line marking and supporting matches and events
Completing routine tasks such as fertilising, seeding and turf repairs
Keeping outdoor areas clean, safe and well presented
Supporting seasonal tasks such as leaf clearance and winter maintenance The Grounds Maintenance Operative will need:
Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping or sports turf (preferred but not essential)
A practical, hands on approach
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Good attention to detail and reliability
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Basic understanding of health and safety Desirable:
Experience using grounds maintenance machinery
Relevant horticulture or land based qualifications
Full UK driving licence
Spraying certificates (PA1/PA6) What's on Offer
