Job Title: Nursery Deputy Manager
Location: Carlisle
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day leadership and management of a high-quality Early Years setting. The successful candidate will work closely with the Nursery Manager and wider leadership team to ensure the delivery of outstanding childcare, compliance with EYFS requirements, and the continuous development of staff and practice across the setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Nursery Manager in the overall running of the nursery
* Ensure high standards of care, safeguarding and EYFS implementation
* Lead, coach and mentor nursery practitioners and room leaders
* Support staff development, training and performance management
* Maintain compliance with Ofsted requirements and internal policies
* Deputise in the absence of the Nursery Manager
* Promote a positive, safe and stimulating environment for children
* Contribute to continuous improvement across all areas of practice
Requirements:
* Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (required)
* Proven experience in a Deputy Manager or senior nursery leadership role
* Strong knowledge of EYFS framework and Ofsted requirements
* Experience in staff supervision, mentoring and development
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Passion for high-quality early years education
