Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Newton Abbot for a Production Technician. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business that offers full training, career development and the chance to become multi-skilled across a variety of manufacturing processes.
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm.
Friday: 7:00am - 12:00pm.
39 hours per week.

Key Duties
As a Production Technician, you'll be involved in the manufacture of specialist engineered components and systems. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll receive training across multiple production areas and play an important part in delivering high-quality products.
Key responsibilities include:
Brazing and soldering a variety of metal components.
Forming, bending and shaping metal tubing.
Wet spray painting.
Silicone moulding and coating.
Assembly of components.
Packing and dispatch of finished products.
Working from engineering drawings and work instructions.
Carrying out quality checks and supporting ISO quality standards.
Working across different production areas to meet manufacturing targets.
Requirements
We're looking for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in producing high-quality products. Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be beneficial, although full training will be provided.
Desirable experience includes:
Brazing or soldering.
Pipe or tube bending.
Wet spray painting.
Using hand tools and measuring equipment.
Reading engineering drawings.
Working within ISO 9001 quality systems.
Skills & Attributes:
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
Good problem-solving skills.
Reliable with excellent timekeeping.
Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Flexible approach and keen to develop new skills.
Trustworthy and committed to producing quality work.
