D R Newitt Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a leading engineering and maintenance services provider in the search for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join their team on a long-term industrial maintenance contract based at a major wastewater treatment facility in Ayrshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrical maintenance professional seeking a stable role within a well-established business, working on critical infrastructure and essential services.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
* Diagnose and repair electrical faults on a range of industrial equipment and systems.
* Conduct inspections, testing and commissioning of electrical installations.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency.
* Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with site procedures and industry regulations.
* Accurately complete maintenance documentation and reports.
* Liaise effectively with site management, operations personnel and fellow engineers.
Candidate Requirements
* Time-served Electrician with recognised electrical qualifications.
* Experience within industrial maintenance environments.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
* Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
* Experience working with motors, control panels, instrumentation and industrial electrical systems.
* Knowledge of health & safety procedures within industrial environments.
* Full UK driving licence preferred.
Desirable Experience
* COMPEX certification.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
* Experience within utilities, water treatment, manufacturing, process, petrochemical or heavy industrial sectors.
* Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment.
