Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 + Benefits
Shift: 3pm – 11pm
The Opportunity
Mixxos are supporting a leading operational business in the search for a Distribution Manager to join their warehouse leadership team.
This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll be responsible for driving performance, coaching colleagues and ensuring operational targets are consistently achieved within a fast-paced distribution environment.
You'll lead from the front, working closely with your team to maintain service levels, improve productivity and create a culture focused on safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
* Lead daily warehouse and distribution activities.
* Allocate resources effectively to meet operational demands.
* Drive productivity, quality and service performance.
* Support operational planning and workload management.
* Act as a key point of contact during management absence.
Team Management
* Coach, develop and motivate warehouse colleagues.
* Support onboarding and training of new starters.
* Conduct return-to-work discussions and performance conversations.
* Foster a positive, engaged and accountable team culture.
Performance Management
* Monitor operational KPIs and turnaround times.
* Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
* Ensure targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
* Maintain high standards of accuracy and customer service.
Continuous Improvement
* Identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows.
* Support operational improvement initiatives.
* Drive consistency across procedures and working practices.
* Promote best practice throughout the operation.
Health & Safety
* Champion a safe working environment.
* Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures.
* Maintain high housekeeping standards.
* Investigate and report incidents, hazards and near misses.
About You
Essential
* Experience within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment.
* Previous team leadership, management or team leader experience.
* Strong understanding of receiving, picking, packing and dispatch operations.
* Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
