We are working with a well-established and growing accountancy and business advisory firm to recruit an Audit Senior. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified (or qualified by experience) professional to take ownership of a varied client portfolio, lead audit engagements, and contribute to the development of both clients and junior team members.
As an Audit Senior, you will manage your own portfolio of clients, lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, and act as a key point of contact. You will work closely with senior leadership while supporting and mentoring junior staff to ensure high-quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring all assignments are delivered on time and to a high standard
Lead audit engagements, taking ownership of audit files and reviewing team output
Build strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact throughout the year
Identify changes in scope and support fee discussions with senior stakeholders
Present audit findings to senior client stakeholders, including boards and committees
Review financial statements and ensure a high-quality final deliverable
Plan and resource audit assignments, managing budgets and timelines
Coach, mentor and review the work of junior team members
Support development through feedback, appraisals and training
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and ethical standards
You will be ACA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience alongside strong audit experience gained within an accountancy practice, you must have strong communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple assignments and prioritise your own workload.
