Gardener

IMH Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced Gardeners for our client based in Halifax (HX3).

The Role:

You will help maintain and improve Calderdale's parks, green spaces and public areas. This is a physically demanding outdoor role, working in all weather conditions.

Duties Include:

* Grass cutting, strimming and hedge trimming

* General gardening and horticultural maintenance

* Tree and shrub maintenance

* Hard and soft landscaping

* Operating and maintaining gardening machinery

* Keeping work areas clean and tidy

* Completing basic paperwork, including timesheets and vehicle checks

* Following health and safety procedures at all times

* Working independently and as part of a team

Requirements:

* Referencing covering the last 3 years of employment

* Full UK Driving Licence (Category B) is preferred

* NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture (or equivalent)

* Valid Lantra (or equivalent) certificates for:

* Pedestrian Mower

* Hedge Trimmer

* Strimmer/Brushcutter

* All Lantra certificates must have been completed within the last 3 years

* Previous experience in gardening, horticulture or grounds maintenance

* Comfortable working outdoors in all weather

* Good understanding of health and safety

Hours & Pay:

* Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm

* £15.00 per hour

* Weekly pay through the agency!
