Production Maintenance Technician
Location: Petersfield (Manufacturing Site)
Shift basis: 4on 4off
Salary: £45,000 annually
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Maintenance Technician to join a leading manufacturing operation in the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer looking to work in a fast-paced, high-performing production environment with a strong focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

The Role
As a Production Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of production equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving machinery to maximise uptime and support the achievement of production KPIs.

Key Responsibilities
- Respond to equipment breakdowns, carry out fault finding, and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and process robustness
- Provide hands-on engineering support for production activities, including changeovers and line set-ups
- Work collaboratively across departments to support safety, quality, and project-based activities
- Promote and adhere to safe systems of work, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and share best practice with colleagues

Essential Requirements:
- Completed engineering apprenticeship or equivalent (e.g., NVQ/BTEC Level 3 in Engineering discipline)
- Multi-skilled background (electrical and mechanical)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment

Additional Skills:
- Experience with welding and general maintenance tasks
- Willingness to work flexibly, including participation in a 24-hour call-out rota
- A continuous improvement mindset and familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
