We're looking for an experienced Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer to join our Technical Design Authority (TDA) team, providing technical leadership, governance and hands-on expertise across our enterprise Microsoft 365 environment.

You'll be the technical authority for Microsoft 365 technologies, supporting business-critical projects, providing 3rd line escalation, assuring technical designs and driving best practice across a modern hybrid IT estate.

You'll work closely with IT leadership, project teams, suppliers and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are secure, scalable and aligned with corporate standards.

What You'll Be Doing

• Act as the senior technical authority for Microsoft 365 services across the business.
• Provide expert 3rd Line support and technical escalation for complex Microsoft 365 issues.
• Review and approve technical designs, ensuring solutions meet business, security and architectural standards.
• Participate in project governance, technical assurance and Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
• Support technical delivery throughout the project life cycle, from initial design through to operational handover.
• Provide guidance on Microsoft 365 strategy, security and continuous improvement.
• Manage and optimise hybrid identity and endpoint management solutions.
• Contribute to IT risk management, audit readiness and ISO27001 compliance activities.
• Support automation initiatives using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.
• Mentor technical teams and act as the Microsoft 365 subject matter expert.

Essential Skills & Experience

We're looking for someone with extensive commercial experience across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including:

• Extensive experience in a Senior 3rd Line Support or Microsoft 365 Engineer position.
• Expert knowledge of the Microsoft 365 platform including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams and Intune.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Copilot technologies.
• Proven experience supporting and administering hybrid Microsoft environments (Active Directory, Entra ID/Azure AD and Microsoft 365).
• Enterprise experience with Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Management and application deployment.
• Strong understanding of Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender, Purview and Microsoft 365 security best practices.
• Experience with PowerShell automation and Microsoft Graph API.
• Experience participating in technical design reviews, project governance or technical assurance.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills across complex Microsoft environments.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.

Certifications (Essential)

• Microsoft Certified: MS-102 - Microsoft 365 Administrator
• Microsoft Certified: MD-102 - Endpoint Administrator
